In Chesterfield, Old House at Hog Hollow is wanting to extend their hours of operation. They are adjoined to a neighborhood that is worried about noise and disturbance. Their current hours are only Wed-Sun from 11 AM to 4 PM. They are asking the city to have expanded hours until 7pm and allow for outdoor patio seating. The Planning Commission did not have enough votes to approve their request but there were several members not in attendance. I’m sure they will keep trying. The city of Manchester is hosting a FOCUS photography competition this summer. They are currently accepting submissions for it. It is open for anyone age 5 and up and the top three entries can receive cash prizes totaling over $1500. The photographs will be on display at Schroeder Park from June 8- July 31. How fun! I might have my kids enter! Be sure to also mark your calendar for April 16-May 3 for a special Holocaust survivor exhibition that is coming to The District out in Chesterfield Valley. It will display 60-80 8-foot-tall photographs of Holocaust survivors and their stories from artist Luigi Toscano. It’s been in many locations over the years and finally has arrived here in St. Louis.
