Has anyone missed the Cheesecake Factory that used to be out in Chesterfield mall? Well, good news if you’ve missed it…it is opening at West County mall! They are looking to hire 280 jobs for this location. Opening date is scheduled for Nov. 10th. Speaking of the old Chesterfield mall (aka the new Downtown Chesterfield), there will be an open house on Sept. 24 from 4-7 p.m. at City Hall showing the two options for the grand entrance that will be the connection between Central Park and Downtown Chesterfield. Option 1 is described as more of a nature/ sculpture garden type feel where Option 2 is more of an engineered design. I think it’s nice to have the option to review the plans. Check it out if you have time next week! What a special year for the Manchester United Methodist Church…they are celebrating their 200th anniversary. This popular church goes back to 1826 when John Ball, the founder of Ballwin, donated a small shed to the church. From there they have grown tremendously. A special aspect of their church is their strong musical program that has a 100-person choir! They have a Joy of Music Concert Series that will be starting this fall. I’ll try to post their events through the concert series. Congrats to them on such a great milestone!
