Demolition officially started at Chesterfield Mall this past week.  The mayor Bob Nation, Tim Lowe of The Staenberg Group and Michael Staenberg President of The Staenberg Group were all there in attendance marking the importance of the day and moving towards the process of creating a Downtown Chesterfield. In park news…Des Peres Park’s new playground is up and running and people are enjoying it.  Longview Park in Town and Country is slated to get a parking lot update that will help them comply with MSD and Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.

WHAT WE’RE LOVING THIS WEEK

BUSINESS OF THE WEEK: Tiger Soup Dumplings! I was just at the Trader Joe’s in Des Peres off Manchester Rd when I noticed a new restaurant called Tiger Soup Dumplings. I’ve been seeing more and more dumpling places pop up and happy to share one in Des Peres.  Their menu consists of mostly dumplings as one would expect. They offer steamed with pan fried options in chicken, beef, pork or cheese and shrimp. Several sides to choose from from spicy wonton noodles to golden broccoli. Steamed or pan fried rice noodle bowls and a variety of teas and smoothies are offered as well.  They have a Fenton location as well.
