Celebrations are in order for a couple local companies…Passiglia Landscape, Nursery and Garden Center in Wildwood was awarded the 2024 Jeanie Hood Community Achievement Award which recognizes valuable members of the Wildwood business community. Sarah’s Cake Shop located in Chesterfield is celebrating 20 years in business. They specialize in wedding cakes, specialty cakes, desserts and cupcakes. They are delicious and happy they are celebrating such a big milestone. In sports news, Lafayette’s Maya Witherspoon just reached 1,000 kills in her career. She is only the second player to accomplish this feat, which took place 24 years ago by Lisa Holst. Congrats to her accomplishment!!
WHAT WE’RE LOVING THIS WEEK
BUSINESS OF THE WEEK: AR Workshop! This is a boutique DIY studio where you can create beautiful items ranging from porch signs to pillows to blankets. It was created by two designers who had a design company featuring graphic design and party styling. They had a DIY online blog as well which took off and they decided to open up brick and mortar stores. It’s grown from there with franchises all over the US. We’re lucky enough to have one located in Chesterfield and in Olivette. They have a ton of amazing projects to choose from that you can browse on their website. It’s a perfect place for birthday parties or other group events. I also hear their summer camps are amazing for kids. They also have take home kits so you can craft at home on your own time.
