In Manchester, budget has been approved for a much needed stormwater improvement construction plan. The budget of $450,000 will help stabilize creeks in three areas on LaBonne Parkway and Mautenne Drive. For more information on it, you can visit the Manchester website. In Wildwood, there have been arguments over the deer population management project that has been in place. A company called White Buffalo was hired to help create a multi-year plan to curb the high deer population. Now, avid hunters are saying they’ve gone too far and that there aren’t many deer left. Proposals to conduct surveys of the current population of deer are being requested so that there can be an accurate assessment of number of deer. In 2025 it cost $741.78 per deer to kill them. More to come on this topic I’m sure. A big congratulations to Officer Josh Hamel from the Town and Country Police Department who has been awarded the Distinguished Service Citation with Valor for his actions on September 5, 2025. While off duty, Officer Hamel risked his own safety to pull an occupant from a burning vehicle, then prayed with the victim until medical personnel arrived. I’m privileged to know him as well…thank you for your amazing service!!
