Recently on Oct. 14 in St. Charles County, there was a town hall for residents to learn more about the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) program which gives money to residents affected by the exposure of radiation from Coldwater Creek in St. Louis County and the Weldon Spring site in St. Charles County. Recently 4 new zip codes from St. Charles County were added including Lake St. Louis, O’Fallon, Dardenne Prairie, Defiance, St. Peters, Weldon Spring and Cottleville. Lump sums of $50,000 (or total medical bills, whichever is higher) can be given to living claimants and $25,000 to surviving beneficiaries of those deceased. St. Louis County is holding a virtual meeting on Oct. 28 to give our more information (https://www.slcl.org/research-learn/reca). In Creve Coeur, city council just recently approved the Centennial Greenway shared-use pathway project which includes a 10 foot wide concrete shared-use pathway and pedestrian bridge that stretches from Lindbergh Boulevard to Baur Boulevard/Schuetz Road to Research Boulevard. It’s definitely going to help people get around via walking and biking and will be perfect with all the construction they are doing for Olia Village.

BUSINESS OF THE WEEK: This week I’m highlighting O’Love Oil located in Chesterfield Town Center! They just recently opened back at the end of September and I just love seeing unique businesses like this open in our community. The owners, Bill and Heather Peplaw are food lovers and have been dreaming about opening up a shop like this for a while now.
