In Creve Coeur, more movement has occured with the Olia Village project. At the Sept 24 council meeting, it was approved to start the construction for a multi-tenant retail building, structured parking garage and a surface parking lot. It will also house a larger, new version of the existing Schnucks grocery store- that so desperately needs to be updated! Projected opening of the new Schnucks is Thanksgiving 2027 which will be after the construction of the other Lot 1 buildings. Exciting for that area! In Wildwood, it was approved with a vote of 9-6 that the historic Essen Log Cabin will be rebuilt in Village Green. Controversy has surrounded it with people questioning whether spending $279,565 to rebuild it is worth it. Others say it is an important piece of history for Wildwood and would show Wildwood cares about maintaining and caring for their history. Finally, congrats to the Westminster girls volleyball team for winning first in the St. Francis Borgia Tournament- way to go!!
