Chesterfield Central Park and playground are slated for enhancements. Thanks for grants available there has been a Chesterfield Forestry Management Program created that will help remove invasive species in the forest and replant necessary plants to make the forest thrive.  The 2001 installed playground will also be replaced by a brand new playground in 2025.  What great updates to such a great area in Chesterfield.  Did you know that St. Louis County has been holding community workshops for gathering feedback on a 2050 comprehensive plan?  They have been and I believe will continue to gather feedback from residents on what they envision for the county in the next 25 years.  More info can be found on their website.  And big congrats to Parkway Central boys cross country team which took home first state trophy in 50 years!

WHAT WE’RE LOVING THIS WEEK

BUSINESS OF THE WEEK:  This week Poke Munch is my business of the week!! They have several locations but the West County location is in Creve Coeur on Ballas. I had a friend recommend it for a lunch date and I’m so glad I tried it!  It was delicious and so flavorful.  For those like me that didn’t know a lot about Poke, it’s a Hawaiian inspired dish that features a lean protein (fish or chicken), healthy grains, and veggies all packed with a ton of flavors like sweet chili, soy and sesame.  I had the Avocoloco which had sweet chili shrimp, spring mix, avocado, sweet onion, edamame, crispy wontons and a sesame ginger mayo.  I was able to customize it with the shrimp instead of the tofu.  Loved it!  However, I tried my friend’s dish, Crispy Hei Hei and it was some of the best tasting chicken I’ve ever tried- so much flavor and so tender.  I’m definitely having that the next time I go back.  You can build your own bowl too which leaves endless possibilities.  Highly recommend checking it out!!  https://www.pokemunchstl.com/
