WEST COUNTY NEWS

Last week I was telling you all about those bump outs on the side of Long and Clarkson Roads…well, some of them are being removed as a result of negative feedback. In Chesterfield, Faust Park opened on October 18th a Whimsical Woods nature play area. It includes tiny hand-built cabins, tree houses, castles, barns and imaginative creatures. How fun! And in Town and Country, for the first time in over two decades, residents will be assessed local property tax. In years past, the city has been able to rely on sales tax and business license fees but some bigger businesses in the area have recently moved out due to more of a hybrid work environment which causes not as many people to be in the buildings. More to come on that.

WHAT WE’RE LOVING THIS WEEK

BUSINESS OF THE WEEK: J & B Wellness in Wildwood & Cottleville! Not sure how this company has been off my radar but a quick glance of what they offer and I’m putting it on my list of places to visit soon. They are a local family business that specializes in healthy, nutritious foods. They try to use minimally processed ingredients in their dishes which include smoothie bowls, smoothies, fresh pressed juice, overnight oats, sandwiches, paninis, wraps, salads and more.
