In Ballwin, the Board of Aldermen recently reviewed a bill that would regulate pet day cares and boarding. Some issues raised from the public stated concerns on noise, smell, and proximity to homes. The bill was passed and details are being worked out. In the old Steak N Shake vacant property in Ellisville there is a request for conditional use permit for a drive-thru cannabis dispensary. The bill for the conditional use permit will be voted on at the June 19 meeting. A new inpatient rehabilitation hospital opened in Town & Country on May 16. It’s a 40-bed inpatient hospital operated by BJC Health System and Encompass Health and named Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis–West County.
WHAT WE’RE LOVING THIS WEEK
This week I wanted to promote an upcoming restaurant called Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe. They will be located in the old Crazy, Bowls and Wraps Creve Coeur location close to Olive and Mason. They are hoping to be open in June. Their menu contains bold, health-focused flavors of the Mediterranean. I’m excited about it opening as their menu looks very yummy. I’ll keep you posted on its opening date but in the meantime, check out their menu!
