WEST COUNTY NEWS

More frustration with the renovation of the Schroeder Park playground project.  It was supposed to be completed in early 2023 but they ran into several issues concerning water runoff and detention basins.  Most recent issue is that the geotechnical report came back and stated that the hillside for the water basin that was needed is not suitable.  Back to the drawing board.  It will push back the reopening of the playground for at least another 2 months.  In Ellisville, it was just approved to add a drive through coffee shop called 7 Brew located by the newer Missouri Pickleball Club on Manchester. They sell more than just coffee too- smoothies, teas, matcha, and energy drinks. Finally, congrats to the Parkway Central Colts boys golf team that took first in the Suburban Showdown!

WHAT WE’RE LOVING THIS WEEK

BUSINESS OF THE WEEK:  This week J.A. Whitney Gift Boutique in Town and Country is my business of the week! I don’t know about you but this time of the year I have so many gifts to purchase for teachers, Mother’s Day, birthdays, graduations, and the list goes on… I absolutely love shopping at little, local gift boutiques because you always find something unique and so special. J.A. Whitney is one of those places that has been around forever (since 1994) and is the cutest store with amazing gifts (and special treats for yourself)!
