WEST COUNTY NEWS

I was just asked this weekend at an open house about the senior tax freeze in St. Louis County…here’s an update. The deadline to submit for the 2024 base year tax freeze is June 30, 2025. They’ve received 33,000 unique applications already. It will still be a little while until applicants will hear back. They will be notified by September 15 of any missing or outstanding documentation that needs to be submitted. For more information regarding the tax freeze, visit http://stlouiscountymo.gov/. Parkway just released an update on the projects that are being completed under the Prop S that was approved by voters in Nov. 2022. Roofs have been completed on Central Middle, Hanna Woods, Henry Elementary, Ross Elementary. Windows, doors and parking lot work have been updated at Hanna Woods, flooring at South High, and classroom improvements, elevator, and fire suppression at River Bend. Playground updates are completed at Barretts Elementary, Hanna Woods, and McKelvey Intermediate and Primary. There are TONS of projects coming.
