WEST COUNTY NEWS
Another new restaurant is slated to be moving into Des Peres at Ballas and Manchester called Cava. They are a fast-casual Mediterranean chain that features bowls, wraps and grilled favorites. There is already a location in Cottleville so this will be their second in the area. They focus on healthy, high protein foods with a Mediterranean twist. Looks delicious! In Manchester, the historic 1907 schoolhouse located at 120 Henry held an open house this week to discuss an applicant’s request to use it as an office for an automobile business and add additional automobile service bays. This would require a special use permit so the city is gathering feedback from the public and will hold a hearing about it at a future board meeting. Wildwood is getting closer to finalizing the Wildwood Historic Preservation Plan. Lots of work gathering feedback and information for it as already taken place. There will still be a public hearing by the Planning & Zoning Commission and one by the City Council. They have eight major goals for the plan including enhancing the experience around the Route 66 corridor, expanding heritage tourism, and building out the staff to support all of it, just to name a few. This will be great for the city and look forward to seeing the plan implemented in the years to come.
