In Ellisville, folks over at the Ellisville Athletic Association (EAA) are once again hopeful for its future. In April, the vote to have ownership of the EAA be by the city of Ellisville was defeated. However, the EAA was just able to secure a deal with GameTime which will host 32 tournaments in 2027. The contract will allow them the funds to update the complex and continue to make much needed improvements. A couple newsletters ago, I had written about the auto repair shop proposal where the historic 1907 Manchester schoolhouse is. On July 20th, votes were taken, with both parties given their pros and cons. Ultimately, the bill was denied and will not be considered. Historic schoolhouse will remain. In the wonderful neighborhood of Green Trails in Chesterfield, there is a local gas station, Bradley Fuel & Repair. The owner had a snow cone stand there for a little while and then it was removed. Many local residents loved it being there and some thought it was a negative for the neighborhood. Recently, enforcement of an ordinance regarding city code relating to a food stand, has been suspended. It was approved that he could put the snow cone stand back up with revisions to the hours and making sure all state, county and other required permits are obtained. Local snow cone lovers are happy!!
