In Creve Coeur, progress continues to happen with the former Bayer campus.  The new construction is being called Olia Village and will have townhomes, apartments, retail, hotels and offices.  Most recent updates include working on leasing agreements with one major tenant specifically.  After that leasing agreement is worked out a site development plan will be submitted within 60 days.  Definitely going to change the whole look and feel of that area!  Town and Country facilities are soon going to see updates as well.  They include improving municipal carport parking, the municipal center itself, city hall/police station updates, public works project for storing plowing equipment, and a firehouse renovation as it’s reaching 40 years old.  In Chesterfield, an interesting new place is set to open in May….called Gateway Studios & Production Services.  It is a rehearsal and production studio complex that will have all the latest turnkey audio, video, lighting, integration and fabrication solutions.  They are already accepting bookings.  A great thing for Chesterfield and adds another depth to what the city offers.  Very cool!

WHAT WE’RE LOVING THIS WEEK

BUSINESS OF THE WEEK:  This week I’m highlighting The Foundry Bakery located in Maryland Heights!  They are an artisanal Taiwanese bread, pastry, and beverage restaurant. I ran across their Facebook page and was drawn to all the delicious looking pastries. I was not too familiar with what Taiwanese pastries were but after looking at this place, I definitely think I’d fall in love!  They have even been mentioned in The New York Times Style Magazine for their modern take on the classic Taiwanese pineapple cake.
