We’ve had some spring weather this week and hoping it continues despite the forecast for some colder weather this weekend. Either way, it has me excited for all things spring and knowing there will be even more fun spring events popping up. As always, I’ll keep you guys updated on those. The city of Chesterfield is looking for feedback on plans they have drawn up for the new Chesterfield aquatic center. On March 5 from 4-7pm and on March 7 from 9am-12pm at Chesterfield City Hall, you will be able see details of the upcoming projects they have for the aquatic center and provide feedback on the designs. New facility is anticipated to cost around $20 million. Feedback is also needed from Ellisville residents for a proposed update to the Ellisville Athletic Association ballfields and have them operate as part of the city’s park systems (they are currently a private non-profit). On April 7th voters will be able to decide whether the city should issue a $3.6 million in obligation bonds for it. If you were used to going to the West County Government Center at 70 Clarkson Wilson Center, you will not be able to starting in March. After February 28th, the location will close. Workers will be moving to other County offices. St. Louis County Executive Sam Page said it was something he didn’t want to do but had to. Residents will now have to go to Clayton headquarters, Northwest Crossings or South County for services. Lastly, my thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family of Olivia Bumbac, 18 year old Parkway Central High senior that tragically died in a car accident this past week. Incredibly sorry for the loss.
