For those of you who have lived in the area for a while, you already know how awesome the Air Show is out in Chesterfield Valley. The US Navy Blue Angels just conducted their winter visit in preparation for the June 6-7, 2026 Air Show. It will be an extra special one because it aligns with the 250th anniversary of the United States, US Navy and US Marine Corps. It’s also the 81st anniversary of D-Day. I can’t wait to attend it in June! Also in Chesterfield, the city has recommended approval for a budget of $125,000 to go towards year-round celebrations/events for the 250th anniversary of our country. Festivities would start in March and go through Veterans Day 2026. More activities might be added to the usual 4th of July celebrations too! To keep the celebrations going…congratulations to Maggie Smith from Marquette High School in reaching over 1,000 setter assists. She is the team’s setter position but also trained in right side hitter. She has high records in not assists, but blocks, hits and serves. Congrats to her!!
