Great news for charities (some being local)..Mercy announced that they are awarding $500K in grants to 35 different organizations that help the elderly, children, homeless and uninsured people. Some of the local organizations receiving grants include Aging Ahead, Feed My People, Nurses for Newborns and PreventEd to name a few. So happy these organizations are getting some extra monetary help! Just a heads up, in Chesterfield, Republic Services trash services will have an increase of 9.5% starting in July. It comes out to be an increase around $1.70-$2.20 a month. A new 5 year contract was just negotiated with them. They have been serving Chesterfield since 1990. In Ballwin, the historic Barn at Lucerne is getting a new tenant, HR Darbar will be moving into it. It will be a fast, affordable, home-style food restaurant. And, I know many won’t believe it until they see it, but The Mexican Barrel House, the new restaurant that went into the old Houlihan’s in Creve Coeur by Olive/Mason has a scheduled soft opening on December 22! It has been over 3 years since they started renovations so everyone is more than ready for this to open!!
