March 30th is National Take a Walk in the Park Day and what better time then to share some of my favorite parks in West County.  We have so many great ones to choose from but here is a short list of some I like and why.  Enjoy this wonderful spring weather we’re having!!

• Longview Farm Park (Town and Country):  This park has a beautiful, paved wooded trail that isn’t too long to walk.  My schedule is crazy most days but this is a great park to get in and out quick.  On hot days, the wooded trail offers a nice shaded, cooler walk as well.  They also recently renovated the children’s playground which is nice. https://www.town-and-country.org/151/Longview-Farm-Park
• Faust Park (Chesterfield): Love walking around the historic homes in this park.  They also have a wooded trail that isn’t paved and gives you more of a hiking feel for those more adventurous.  Many things for the kiddos too like the Butterfly House, playground and Carousel.  https://stlouiscountymo.gov/st-louis-county-departments/parks/places/faust-park/
• Rivers Edge Park (Chesterfield):  Located behind the District out in the Valley, this park has a beautiful, quiet wooded trail around a lake.  I always feel at peace walking this trail.  https://www.chesterfield.mo.us/rivers-edge-park.html
• Queeny Park (Ballwin):  There is a lot at Queeny Park including the ice rink, Greensfelder Recreation Complex, playground and more.  They have a lot of trails that keep you interested and also can give you a really great workout.  https://stlouiscountymo.gov/st-louis-county-departments/parks/places/queeny-park/
• Riparian Trail (Chesterfield):  This is a shorter trail that is easy to walk around the Chesterfield Creek. This trail is part of a greater five-phase project that will eventually connect to the Monarch-Chesterfield Levee Trail.  https://www.chesterfield.mo.us/riparian-trail.html
