This week Poke Munch is my business of the week!! They have several locations but the West County location is in Creve Coeur on Ballas. I had a friend recommend it for a lunch date and I’m so glad I tried it!  It was delicious and so flavorful.  

For those like me that didn’t know a lot about Poke, it’s a Hawaiian inspired dish that features a lean protein (fish or chicken), healthy grains, and veggies all packed with a ton of flavors like sweet chili, soy and sesame.

I had the Avocoloco which had sweet chili shrimp, spring mix, avocado, sweet onion, edamame, crispy wontons and a sesame ginger mayo.  I was able to customize it with the shrimp instead of the tofu.  Loved it!  However, I tried my friend’s dish, Crispy Hei Hei and it was some of the best tasting chicken I’ve ever tried- so much flavor and so tender.  I’m definitely having that the next time I go back.  You can build your own bowl too which leaves endless possibilities.
