This week I’m highlighting Pana Coffee & Dessert Bar in Ballwin! It just opened in July and looks amazing.  Located near Clayton and Kehrs Mill Roads, it features coffee and dessert, Greek style!  The owner, Panayotis Stavrianos, has been around the restaurant, service industry for most of his life.  His family ran Majestic Restaurant and Bar in the Central West End for many decades.  I read in an article that he wants to bring high-quality coffee to St. Louis.

The recent article I read about in Sauce magazine, has definitely made me add this place to my list to visit in the very near future!  This coffee shop specializes in espresso, decaf and nitro cold brew beverages, traditional Greek coffee, lattes, Greek frapé, and frappuccinos.  He’s selected the highest quality coffee… from Brazilian espresso, Colombian decaf, Costa Rican cold brew, and Ethiopian nitro brew.  Not only do they carefully select their coffee but they also make their own almond milk.  And let’s not forget about iced drinks.  For those, they ultra purify the water so they have perfectly clear, square ice cubes.  They also have non-coffee drinks like tea and matcha.

As the name implies, they also serve delicious homemade desserts including Spanakopita, chocolate chip cookies, Koulourakia, blueberry muffins , and of course, Baklava.  The location itself has seating inside and an outdoor patio with a clean, modern, European (yet St. Louis) vibe. 

I absolutely cannot wait to try this place.  As we head into fall as well, I feel like it will be a cozy, delicious place to frequent.  Check them out and let me know what you think!
