Many know and love The Village Bar for their amazing burgers, handmade onion rings, history and laid back feel.  Located right next to it is now a tasting room from the 1879 Distilling Co.  It is not only a tasting room but also includes a retail shop which sells both the 1879 Distilling Co merchandise and The Village Bar items.

The 1879 Distilling Company is a local, handcrafted, small batch distillery using German tradition that dates back to the early 1800s in St. Louis.  They use pure limestone water, premium Midwest grains, and the world’s finest oak barrels to create their products.  The have bourbon and whiskeys, vodkas and a dark rum.  

The tasting room is called The Redhead 1879 Speakeasy.  What a fun thing to check out next time you visit The Village Bar!
