This week I’m highlighting Duck in Market located in Valley Park!  I know some would not consider this as in West County but they are a popular local restaurant that just happens to specialize in home-style creole food.  Perfect for Mardi Gras tomorrow!

They are a Cajun restaurant that has New Orleans inspired food like gumbo, red beans and rice, po boys, and voodoo pasta salad.  Fresh baked goods are also offered daily such as blueberry banana bread, lemon cherry delight cookies, dark cherry chocolate devils food upside down cake and more! Not only do they have the amazing food but they also are a convenience/grocery store offering lottery tickets, ice, cold beverages, snacks, prepared meals and more.  That “more” also includes selling fishing, tackle, bait and worms!

If you already know and love this place, did you know they cater and also have a food truck?  They do!  

Right now, they are selling Mardi Gras meals to-go…Crawfish & Shrimp Etouffee, Pulled Pork Fried Burritos, Crawfish Rangoons, Gulf Peel & Eat Shrimp.
