I have a personal friend with celiac disease and I know how serious gluten can be to some people.  If you are one that suffers from celiac disease or just gluten free for nutrition purposes, here is a handy list of gluten free friendly restaurants to check out in West County.  Do you have a good one to add to my list?  Let me know and I’ll update it!

• The Corner Pub & Grill (Ellisville, Valley Park & O’Fallon):  Probably one of the most gluten free friendly ones around!  They have a dedicated menu that includes fried foods because they have dedicated gluten free fryers in the back.  The owner’s daughter has Celiac disease so it’s highly important to them. • The Wolf Cafe (Ballwin):  They have a wonderful fresh ingredient, menu that has a lot of gluten free options.  They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and have live music often.  Great place!! https://thewolfstl.com/

• Circle 7 Ranch (Ballwin & Des Peres):  Similar to The Corner Pub & Grill, Circle 7 has a large gluten free menu available with loads of comfort food selections.   From salads, chicken wings, and a kids menu, they have so much great items.  https://circle7ranch.com/

• Sauce on the Side (Chesterfield, Twin Oaks, Creve Coeur + many other locations):  This delicious restaurant focuses on calzones, salads, and bite sides and desserts.  They don’t have a dedicated menu for gluten free options but several locations have gluten free dough for the calzones.  Call up your favorite location to double check but a great option especially if you want a yummy calzone!  https://sauceontheside.com/

• Cooper’s Hawk (Town and Country & St. Peters): If you’ve never been here, this is an upscale casual restaurant that is also a winery.  They have delicious food and also have a dedicated gluten free menu.  From Drunken Shrimp to chopped salads and fresh fish…has many delicious options for a more upscale feel.   https://chwinery.com/

• YaYa’s Euro Bistro (Chesterfield):  One of my favorite restaurants!  They don’t have a dedicated menu but other a lot of gluten free options on their menu and can make modifications to some to make gluten free.  Service is always excellent as well!   https://www.yayaseurobistro.com/

• Mellow Mushroom (Chesterfield & Sunset Hills):  Known for their pizzas, Mellow Mushroom offers a handful of pizzas available on their gluten free crust.  They have a cool funky atmosphere and is always a good time and good food.   https://mellowmushroom.com/

• Dewey’s Pizza (Ellisville + other locations):  As you already know, it’s a pizza place so they have the option to make any pizza on their gluten free 12 in crust.  Haven’t tried their crust but I hear it’s really good.   https://deweyspizza.com/

• The Shack Breakfast & Lunch (Creve Coeur, Frontenac, Chesterfield + others): Breakfast might be my favorite meal of the day and The Shack has a dedicated menu with gluten free options.  Menu includes omelets, pancakes and even some lunch options.  https://www.eatatshack.com/
