WEST COUNTY NEWS

Congratulations is in order for our Rockwood school district that for the fifth year in a row, all four Rockwood high schools earned the Distinguished School designation from Project Lead the Way. It is a testament to the challenging and innovative biomedical science and engineering courses Rockwood schools have. Great job! Chesterfield Valley, near Topgolf, might be getting a new business called Cigars International which would sell premium handmade cigars, humidors, pipes, pipe tobacco and accessories. Also in Chesterfield, all tenants in Chesterfield Mall will need to vacant by end of August. This includes the Chesterfield History Museum. Hopefully they find another location to maintain all the artifacts, books, documents, memorabilia and other historical items.

WHAT WE’RE LOVING THIS WEEK

BUSINESS OF THE WEEK: Flower Child!

There has been lots of buzz around this restaurant opening up and people are loving it. I personally know a couple folks who have been and absolutely LOVED it.

They located where the old Bread Co used to be by Frontenac mall. This is their first MO location. Most other locations are in AZ and TX but they are in 12 states total. They make everything from scratch using fresh ingredients that they try to source locally. They have lots of options for vegetarians, vegan, paleo, sugar-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free diets. From pictures, their food looks like it’s full of flavor and all good for you.
