WEST COUNTY NEWS
As you might have seen above, it’s the 50th anniversary of the Queeny Art Fair! It’s the longest-running juried art fair west of the Mississippi river, which is pretty cool and definitely says something about the fair itself. Check it out if you never have before! Napoli Dolce opened this week out in The District in Chesterfield. Obviously, they are part of the delicious & successful chain of Napoli restaurants. This one, however, is an Italian bakery & Gelateria. I can’t wait to try this place!! In Wildwood, despite many efforts the historic landmark of the 1913 J.P. Connell House will be demolished. The house itself needed stabilization work and several attempts/ideas were being tossed around to save it but at the end of the day, they couldn’t justify it. A big congratulations to Lafayette graduate Hunter Alver on winning the 2026 Amateur Trapshooting Association World Clay Target Championship. To win, he shot all 600 targets!! The Championship took place in Sparta, IL. Congrats!!
