Who doesn’t love a good sandwich?!?  Monday, November 3 was National Sandwich Day so of course I had to come up with a list of amazing local (no chain restaurants here!) places to get a great sandwich.  Did I forget one to mention?

• Peppers Deli & BBQ in Ellisville: A local gem that has been around since 1998 and consistently delivers delicious deli and BBQ sandwiches.  
• Gioia’s Deli in Creve Coeur: Talk about making your mouth water…just take a look at the sandwiches on their website!  Gioia’s Deli, originally from The Hill, has grown a lot over the last year or two and now has 5 total locations in St. Louis (Winghaven, Creve Coeur, The Hill, Valley Park and Maryland Heights).  They are known for their Hot Salami and trust me, it’s delicious!  My dad loves this place too and always asks for it when he’s visiting us.  A must try!! https://www.gioiasdeli.com/
• UKRAFT in Chesterfield: They are a local sandwich, wrap, salad and soup spot that started out as a foot truck in 2018.  They have a fresh, healthy menu that has something on it for everyone.  Sandwiches are numerous with classics like a Rueben and Ham & Swiss but also a variety of others like Shrimp BLT and Chipotle Chicken.  They have a brick and mortar store in Chesterfield and a on Kiener Plaza downtown.  They are also open for breakfast and have a catering menu.  https://ukraftbrunchcafe.com/
• Annie Gunn’s in Chesterfield:  For a little more upscale feel, take a lunch break here and choose from a variety of sandwiches and burgers.  They have a Fried Bologna on Brioche Bun sandwich, a French Dip, and a Cuban-Style 100% Beef Footlong Hot Dog with Emmi Swiss.  You can sit down at the restaurant but they also have a deli in their Smokehouse Market.  https://www.anniegunns.com/  https://www.smokehousemarket.com/
• The Wolf Cafe in Ballwin:  A one-of-a-kind restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring food locally sourced.  People love them for many reasons like the creative, funky space it is, their baked goods and coffee but they also have great sandwiches.  Unique ones too like a hot honey chicken sandwich, salmon BLT, and a double dill on rye bread.  Another must try!  https://thewolfstl.com/
